Legends Forward Controls from Phat Performance Parts

Here's some pix of the Legends Forward controls. I got them through Phat Performance @ www.phatperformanceparts.com
Tell Phat Performance that George Dumpit with Reaper Jr. sent ya.

I took these pix for an ISRA forum brother since he hasn't done this type of install before. Please excuse the pix, the bike was a tad dirty from last weekends ride.. :-) The pix that I too show the part assembled. I really should keep the digital camera in the garage when I do mods.. :-) I'll be adding more pix later, but I wanted to post these to help Bruce with his install.

Master cylinder with brake pressure switch. I took the end of the brake switch off of the stock setup and cut the wires near the stock switch. I then crimped two bullet socket connectors onto the wiring and covered with heat shrink tubing. The wiring doesn't matter, their isn't any polarity.

Here a shot of the rear of the master cylinder. I gave the harness a generous loop and tie wrapped it to the stainless steel braided brake line and hid the rest of the wiring along the bottom frame rail.

Here's what the left side controls should look like when assembled. Notice the extended toe pegs. I got them on both brake and shifter arms. With the ones that come with the controls, I had to pigeon toe my foot to shift and brake. With the extended pegs I leave my feet in a more comfortable position without having to reach for the controls.

Here's a shot of the shifter linkage, and how it should look when assembled.

A close up of the dirt... uh, I mean the rear brake line assembly and how it should be routed. Notice the factory cable clamp that holds the brake line. There is another one similar to it up front. You will see it when you look under the bike, following the stock brake line.

Here's a side shot of the stainless brake line attached to the rear calipers. You can reuse the stock copper washers, but I had some new ones so I opted to use those instead. I used DOT 5 synthetic brake fluid on this install.
