This page if for those that have asked about how I attached my rear fender without having any exposed fasteners.

Fender support brace is in "slammed" position and I have no clearance problems riding in hardtail mode. I know because I burnt out my compressor at the 2004 Hollister Rally and had to ride 100 miles hardtail. Wasn't bad, but I know that I'm not cut out for a hardtail bike.. :-)

This pic shows the rear fender mounted using the factory front seat, rear mounting fastener locations. The Custom Corbin seat uses the velcro seen in the pic to hold the seat down in the rear.

Here I show the 1/8" by 2" metal strap that I use for a fender support to keep the fender from sinking down when I sit on the seat.

Another shot of the front fender support. I bent it to conform to the shape of the fender and to angle the fender correctly when it mounted. Why did I choose to mount it this way? Because it was the scrap metal that I had handy when I was mounting the rear fender.. :-) There are several ways to make a front support, but this was the easiest and cheapest way for me to do it.. :-)

Here I show how the eyebrow mounting bosses are ground down to fit the 9" aftermarket rear fender. Yeah, yeah, I still need to dress up the exposed metal, but I just haven't had the time to get to it yet.. :-)

I was going to add a hook to the bottom of the rear fender towards the back. This hook bracket would slip under the rear hoop of the fender support and help capture the rear of the fender from lifting up. I forgot to weld it on before paint, and will eventually cold weld it on (JB weld). So far I haven't had any problems without a rear fastening feature on the rear fender.

Clean look of no exposed fasteners.

For riding two up I have another seat that looks identical to this solo seat, but had a rear section on it. Similar to a Corbin Gunfighter seat, and the one that I previously had on the Reaper Jr 1.0 version of the bike. This 2-up seat had suction cups towards the rear and also uses the velcro up front.
